TAGGART GETS BACK OF DAILEY (COXTIIVVHD FltOM PACK OXE) Florida Tuesday and told the ‘order takers’ in a prepared statement which | was widely published that he hfcd l annointed Frank Dailey for governor. “He eame back, according to an Indianapolis newspaper, tanned with the sunshine of Florida. “On May 8,1 predict, he will be tanned by the independent Democratic voters of Indiana. Indiana Democrats have outgrown the present fiction that their votes may be controlled by the dictum of a oneti meopUtical boss who fondly beI eves his ultimatum expressed to Democrats should have all the bindinc force and the supreme court de- j vision. "In the same breath. Mr. Taggart speaks of Dailey’s national background and of his presence in Indiana to push the candidacy of Mr. Evans Woollen for president. “Mr. Taggart seeks not only to name the candidate for governor, but also to hogtie and deliver the Indiana delegation to the Democratic national convention to be handed over at the opportune moment to some candidate whose name the sage of French ■ Lick has not seen fit to disclose to ; Indiana’s long suffering Democracy. I “Indiana has suffered much during | the last six years at the hands of political bosses in the Republican Par-1 ty, and the Democratic candidates for governor and senator are traversing ! the state in all directions frantically i demanding a new deal from a clean - An Old Recipe to Darken Hair By JANICE RANDALL
Almost everyone' knows that Sage ! Tea and Sulphur, properly co mpounded. brings back the natural color and lustre to the hair when faded, streaked or gray. Years ago the only way to get this mixture was
,S(. Sr z
-to make it at home, which is mussy and troublesome. - Nowadays we simply ask at any drug store for “Vyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound.” You will get a large bottle of this old-time recipe improved by the addition of other ingredients, for only 75 cents. Everybody uses this preparation now, because no one can possibly tell that you darkened your hair, as it does it so naturally and evenly. You dami>en a sponge or soft brush with it and drew this through your hair, taking one small a time; by morning the gray hair disappears, and after another application or two, ycur hair becomes beautifully dark, thick aud glossy and you look years younger.

IF KIDNEYS ACT BAD TAKE SALTS Says Backache Often Means You Have Not Been Drinkire Enough Water When you wake up with backache and dull misery in the kidney region it may mean you have been eating foods which create acids, says a wellknown authority. An excess of such acids overworks the kidneys in their effort to filter it from the blood and they become sort of piralyzed and | loggy. When your kidneys get slugi gish and clog you must relieve them, ike you relieve your bowels, removing all the body's urinous waste, else you have backache, sick headache, dizzy spells,; your stomach sours, tongue is coated, aud when the weather is bad you have rheumatic twinges. The urine is cloudy, full of sediment, channels often get sore, water scalds end you are obliged to seek relief two or three times during the night. Either consult a good, reliable physician at once or get from your pharmacist about four ounces of Jad Salts; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few days and your kidneys may then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemcn juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for years to help clean and stimulate sluggish kidneys, also to heutralize acids in (he system, so they no longer irritate, thus often relieving bladder weakness, Jad Salts is inexpensive, cannot injure and makes a delightful, effervescent lithia-water drink. Drink lots of soft water.
