DISTRICT LEGION I OFFICERS NAMED Dr. Harry H. Jones, Os Berne. Made Service Officer For Eighth District American Legion officers of the Eighth Indiana District, of which this city Is a part, were announced today by Glenn Seiss. of Anderson, District Commander of the organization. At the same time announcement was made of the Eighth District Executive Committee under the provisions made for a district organization at the South Bend ■ Convention of the Legion last year. In addition to District Commander Seiss. the following district officers have been elected: Earl Merry, of Dunkirk, vice Commander; Harry H. Pierce of Winchester, Adjutant and Finance Officer; Dr Harry O. Jones, of Herne. Service Officer; and Paul Hainibaugh, of Muncie, Child Welfare officer. Under the new plan the Eighth District becomes both an administrative and executive unit of the Legion. It gives the district fuller representation and will enable the post to cooperate with each other in unified action on important matters affecting ex-service-men. • Each post in the Eighth Indiana District is allowed the same number of members on the District Executive Committee us it had delegates at the last state convention.
