HOOVER FAVORS 18TH AMENDMENT Presidential Candidate Goes On Record As Opposed To Repeal Washington, Feb. 23. —(U.R) Secretary of Commerce Hoover, candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, informed Senator Borah today he docs not favor repeal of the 18th imendment. The answer was made n reply to Borah’s "dry questionnaire” sent to Hoover and other presdential candidates. "Upon my return to Washington, I have taken up your letter," Hoover wrote.
