Martin Jaberg. Auditor Adams County. Indiana. February 15-22 — o r GIVES SERMON ON SALVATION “Conditions of Salvation’’ was the subject used by the Rev. Mr. Wilson at. the United Brethren revival last night- Attendance was exceptionally large and intense interest manifested by both church and visitors. The Rev. Frank Myres, of Craigville, was present last night and presided at the piano. Rev. Myers is an exceptional player. Rev. Wilson and Rev. dyers sang a beautiful duet. The sermon last night by Rev. Wilson was a clear cut message on the plan of Salvation. He discussed God's plan and how man has tried to substitute other plans. The speaker brought the hearers face to face with the proposition of Kternal slavation or eternal damnation and urged an acceptance of the plan of Salvation o insure eternity with God. New heart and not new clothes are needed today, he said. Christians and not mere church members are the force for righteousness that C: needed. There was a hearty response in the prayer session last night and personal workers were busy. Requests for prayers were made, and the church eaders feel that a tremndous awakening is not far distant. The faithful attendance of many every night is howing the deep concern. An even larger attendance is expected tonight is Rev. Wilson's messages are atracting the folks, and his leadership in the song service is gelling he music out of all the folk. Servces at 7:30 o’clock. Klan To Fling Mask Into Discard Tonight Birmingham, Ala., Feb. 22—(INS— The Ku Klux Klan will fling its mask into the discard at midnight tonight, ays an orfler from Hiram Wesley 3vans, Imperial Wizard. The move, crlginally intended as a patriotic surprise for the nation, was bared a month ago in Albama and after a denial from Evans, the matter was allowed to rock along until conZi; mation was received front other sources throughout the country. 9UART OF WATER CLEANS KIDNEYS Take a Little Salts if Your Back Hurts, or Bladder Is Troubling You ■ No man or woman can make a misake by flushing the kidneys occasionally. says a well-known euthcrity. Elating too much rich food creates acids, which excite the kidneys. They become overworked from the strain, ret sluggish and fail to filter the waste and pokons from the blood. Then we %et sick. Rheumatism, headaches, liver trouble, nervousness, dizziness, sleeplessness and urinary disorders often come from sltlgglsii kidneys. The moment you feel a dull ache in the kidneys, or your back hurts, or if the urine is cloudy, offensive, full, of sediment. Irregular of passage or' attended by a sensation of scalding, begin drinking a quart of waler each day. also get about four ounces' of Jail Salts from any pharmacy; take atablespoonfu'l in a glass of water before breakfast, and in a few days your kidneys may act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with iithia, ami has been used for years to flush ami stimulate the kiuneys; also to help neutralize the acids in the system, so they no longer cause irritation, thus often relieving bladder weakness. Jad Salts is inexpensive; makes a delightful effervescent, lithia-water drink which everyone should lake now and then to help keep the kidneys clean and active and the blood pure, thereby often avoiding serious ’ kidney complications.
STATE READY TO TAKE OVER EAST AND WEST ROAD (CONTIS IED FROM PAGE OJiBI ' cral aid plan. > The speaker showed, by statistics, ' that the cost of operating automo- • biles over unimproved highways was : far greater than when (he cars are operated owar improved roads. In 1926, he said, the people of Indiana 1 had $438,750,000 invested in motor cars, exclusive of trucks, and it cost the owners $145,520,000 to opeiiate their cars over improved highways. Mr. Hershman favors the elimina‘ion of the property tax on automobiles and an increase in the license fee, for the purpose of raising more money for road construction. He said that the average automobile license fee in the United States is $22.58 while the average fee in Indiana is only $6.41. The state highway commission : plans to build 325 miles of cement > roads this year at a cost of about - $28,000 per mile, in addition to main-

taining the stone and gravel roads, he said. Mr. Hershman advised the local citizens to procure a 70 or 80 foot right-of-way for state roads, instead of the required 60-foot right-of-way, because of the fact that all highways must be made wider in years to come and the cost of procuring the wider right-of-ways after the road is once improved is several times Mr Hershman said that good roads boosters in each of the 92 counties of the state think that they have the only honest to goodness road problem in the state and that the highway commission is continually accused of showing preference to other localities in building roads, but he declared that the commission endeavors to distribute the money over the state! as nearly even as possible.
