SERVICES BEGUN BY METHODISTS (( UMIMEI) FROM PAGE ONE) Homo unusual revivals under his leadtush ip, not only as pastor of his own , hurdles, but also in the c apacity of evangelist in other large churches. In the addresses given yesterday, Kev. Stoakes made Jesus Christ the center of his thcm£, and promised hi* hearers that He alone would be preached throughout the campaign. His subject in the morning was ‘Jesus, The Unfailing Supply” and used as Ills text a bit of old prophecy in these words, “In that tiny then' shall he a fountain opened.” The service was greatly helped by the choir and a beautiful solo by Mrs. Dan Tyndall. The evening subject was, "Jesus Christ, the Hope of the World,” The pastor used as his text a word of exhortation from the pen of Paul when he said, “Let this mind he in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” The pastor emphasised the. fact that not only weio more Christians needed in the world, hut a better quality of Christianity as well. The whole day was auspiciously marked with signs of peat interest.
