YELLOW JACKETS TROUNCEANGOU Curtismen Have Easy Time Beating Old Rival Friday Night, Score 45-27 Assuming the lead at the very start, the Decatur high school Yellow Jackets trounced the Angola high school basketball team, on the Angola floor, last night. Tho final score was 45. 27. The Curtismen had command of the situation throughout the game and not a single player appeared tired after the battle of Thursday night with Delphi. The local quintet jumped into a lead at the opening of the game when Bell, Hill and Krick counted for two-point-ers. The Yellow Jackets continued to score and led at the half, 19-9. in the second half, Coach Herb Curtis subsituted frequently and Cole, bank enau and Reynolds saw action. Bob Hill, Bill Bell and Joe Krick were the offensive mainstays for Decatur, while Brokaw with three field goals was the chief scorer for the home team . The game clowed down considerably during the last few minutes and the local team managed to run the score up at will. Angola never threatened to rally. Ford Griffith, of Auburn, was the official. HARTFORD WINS FROM MONROE — Gorillas, Minus Two Regulars, Win 34-21 Victory Here Friday Night The Hartford township high school Gorillas, with two regulars out of the ineup and two or three new men filling in, handed the Monroe quintet r--14 to 21 defeat in a game played on the Decatur high school floor last light. Hartford led at the end of the half, 19 to 6. Hoffman, center, and N. Banter, forward, were unable to play with the Hartford team last night due to injuries sustained in the game against Geleva last week. Schrogham, former Lancaster player, made his initial aplearance with the Gorillas last nigl t, flaying center, and scored eight field reals and a free throw, before being •elieved by Schlagenhauf, who also Dlayed a nice game.
