Mrs. George Baumgartner and daughter Adah, of Fort Wayne, visited at the Peter Burkhalter home Saturday. W. A. Bartsche. of the United Milk Products Co., of Cleveland, Ghio, was a business visitor in Berne Monday. Palmer Augsburger Senaid Flucklnger, Adeline Neusnschwander, Elda and Minda Flttckinger were visitors at Fort Wayne last Thursday evening. Elmer and Harley Lehman were business caller at Decatur Saturday. Miss Beatrice Merriman, cf Bine Creek township, is helping out as an extra clerk at Bells’ 5 and 10 cent store during the holiday season. Miss Dessie Meyers, Mrs. Ben Sprunger, Mrs. Wilbur B. Nussbaum, Lewellyn Stucky and Amos Burkhalter are helping out as extra clerks at the Fair Store during the holiday rush. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Clauser and family, of Fort Wayne, spent the weekend with his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Alfred Clauser. Mr. and Mrs. Auburn Thomas and daughter Romaigne, of Union City, visited with Mrs. Thomas’ paretns, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Sprunger on Sunday. J. H. Allen family wore in a serious accident in Canada. Mrs. Allen was said to have part of her head injured and two of the children were also seriously hint. They are In a critical i condition in the hospital.
