E. team will go to Berne Thursday night to play the Berne M. Y. M. team, A real thriller is promised. The two teams will meet in Decatur later in the season. Rofeteo Davis, of Ifcrt Wayne, who has wotked several games in Decatur ami who has given good satisfaction as a whole, didn't get over so good with Hartford City fans, at least with “As We See It" in the Hartford City News, in the game between Hartford City and Bluffton, at Bluffton last Friday night. Bluffton won by two points 26-24. “As We See It" says: "While we know full well that squakiug following a defeat is not proper, we believe that a man who has been sandbagged and relieved cf his possessions might be permitted to complain a little about it. In the first place, allow us to say that the conduct of the Bluffton players themselves was not had. The work of Referee Davis, however, was verry spotty hl ; keen eye being able to rtford City fouis in laige numtiers, in fact Bluffton had 17 chances from'the foul line and made 12; Hart ford City had 11 chances and made 8 " | Speaking of referees, our gopd friend Buck who writes the column “Out of Bounds” tn the Bluffton banner and officiates in basketball games as a sideline, didn't get any roses from the Berne fans after the KirklandBerne game at Kirkland last Friday night. "Time Outs", in the Berne Review. says: "We know 'Buck' of Bluff- ; ton ta well to question his integrity on | fai aess. However, we re not spending I any of the lit;le Christmas p: esent , money we get saved up for a bouquet j of flowers for him the way he officiated the Berne-Kirkland garni' Friday night." WE ARE FIRMER THAN EVER IN , OUR DECISfON TO. STICK TO COj LI MING AND LET REFEREEING ' ALONE. THERE'S ENOUGH RAZZING IN THAT FOR YOURS TRULY. , A Decatur fan wiites to us, “Dear Mr. Upp: The H. S. students have
all lost their pep in yelling. This is very bud Indeed, and I wish you would give us it remedy before Friday night. We need it." Out suggestion is that all of the other pupils “fess up" like this one loyal fan did and then resolve to make their rooting compare favor.ably with the Yellow Jackets' playing. This fan's letter is timely, as the rooting nt the Yellow Jackets' games hasn’t been anything to wifte home nbout so far this year.
