LOCAL GIRL DIRECTS PLAY A series of one-act plays will be presided by the play acting department of Indiana University and all the productions will be directed by the students of the department. One of the plays will have as its director. Miss Lois Peterson, of this city. She will have charge of the play “The Old Lady Shoms Her Medals” The best of the ten one-act plays will be selected for ■presentation at the convocation of the entire student body sometime in Jan uary. CALVARY AID " ELECTED OFFICERS The Ladies Aid Society of the Calvary Church held an all day inee'ing. Friday at the church. The morning hours were spent in decorating the Christmas Tree in preparation for th'? Christmas Gift Exchange in the afternoon. At the noon hour, a sumptions pot-hick dinner was served to eleven members and eight visitors. Foil >wing the dinner, the election of officers for the new year was held, with Mrs. Myrtie I lindenlang being elected piesident; Mrs. Phoebe Miller, vice-presi-dent; Mrs. Orie Drake secretary; Mrs. lona Shifferly, treasurer, and Mrs Cora Siieets, corresponding secretary A program was then rendered., which consisted of readings by Mis. Fannie Jackson, Mrs. Inez Walters. Mrs. Phoebe Miller. Sunday guests at the HeHnsley home were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rowley, of Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. Linn Kern, of Fort Wayne. The Woman’s Home Missionary Society of the Methodist church will meet with Mrs. Dan Sprang, Friday afternoon, at 2:30 o’clock. This will be the annual Christmas party and a 1 good attendance is desired. The Ever Ready class of the Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas party and gift exchange, Thursday evening, at seven-thirty o’clock, at the home of Mrs. M. E. Hower on North Fourth street. Members of the class arc requested to bring a verse concerning their capsule friend. The St. Marys Chorus Choir will meet Tuesday evening at 7:30 P. M. at D. C. H. S.
