OESCRIBES TRIP ' IN GIANT PLANE < Georg*' Stanley Junes ami Miss Banta, spec In! nurse, who accompanied the ( Emmons party to Detroit, by plane yesterday, arrived home lust night. Miss Banta says Col. Emmons stood the trip well and was in good spirits. He was met at the Ford field by twenty prominent business and professional men of Detroit and was taken immediately to Harper hosiptal. Dr. H. O. Jones of Herne will remain a week as the guest of Dr. Angus Me Lean and the Emmons brothers. Yesterday afternoon. Miss Banta and Master George were shown the city of Detroit in Dr. McLean s car and then the einire party enjoyed dinner at his home before taking the train for Fort Wayne. George describes the trip nicely, declaring it was alright. They travelled at a height of about 2.000 feet and passed over only one town of size that wag Defiance, Ohio. -The time passed quickly he said. They could talk in the cabin and he had the boy’s privilege of moving about from seat to seat and from side to side of the cabin. The speed was not noticeable and there was nothing to frighten the passengers. They left here at 10:37 o’clock and arrived at Detroit at exactly 12 o’clock. Dr. Jones will remain at the Dr. McLean home during his visit in Detroit. The big plane left Detroit immediately after lunch yesterday, returning to Chicago. -o M. E.
