BERNE NEWS Rev. and Mrs. Walter Simkey W tored to Archbold, Ohio, where Rev. Stuckey was the principle speaker of the Mission Day Festival held in the Reformed church of that place of which Rev. Hoornentan is pastor. A farewell reunion was held at Chester Roths farm home Sunday tor Dr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Dester who will leave Thursday for India. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. O. F. GilHorn and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Sprunger and family, Dr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Dester, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Roth and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alber'. Reusser and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Teusser and family. A surprise party was held at the home of Erank Behling in honor of Mrs Lewis Sprunger, who celebrated her fiftieth birthday, Sunday. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Wm Schenbeck, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dubach. Mrs. Amos Hirschy and son Willard. Robert Speicher and children Daniel, Paul. Bargara Martha and Ruth, Mrs. Rosir.a Speicher, Sam Schenbeck. Martha Hossman, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sprunger and sons Brank and Carl, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Behling and daughter, and Anna Adler of Decatur.
