HirS chy farm southeast of Berne, which. is the old home of the Baumgartners. Patil L Whitely, Payson Miller, and Russell A. Lantz called on T. H. Soldner and friends here Monday evening. Dr. Whitely will soon leave for Hamilton N- V. to teaeh at Colgate I'niversity. Prof Lantz goes to Liberal Kansas, having charge of the musical department of the schools and Prof. Miller returns to Waverly, Mass., to continue at Harvard College. Miss Ruby Schlagenhauf was a busineess caller at Fort Wayne. Monday. Miss Dorothy Sprunger. student at Muncie, sepnt the week-end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Sprunger. Martin and Clinton Gilliom. of Fort Wayne, spent the week-end at the Simon Gilliom home. Mrs Susan Hirschy and granddaughters, Irene and Mildred Hirschy. returned to their home Friday after spending the week at the L. F. Lehman home at ort Wayne. Mrs. Amos Snyder and daughter. Wanda Maxine, and son Kenneth, ami Miss Devon* Schlagenhauf, returned home Monday from a week s vacation ' at Pleasant Lake. The Misses Martha and Minnie Ehrsam and Homer N'iederhauser return ed home Sunday from a week's vacation at Lake Wawasee. The Misses Esther and Florence Liechty and Miss Helen Nickel returned home Saturday from a week's outing at Winona Lake. The Misses Rose. Elma and Zilla Sprunger spent the week-end at Winona Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Soldner and son, Weldeu, are on an extended trip through the eastern states. They will visit with the Rev. Grover Soldner family at Soundertoll. Pa., for some time. Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. Win. Schenbeck and son, Walter, and Lida Hawbaker and Miss Flossie Fenstermaker, of Geneva, are enjoying a week's vacation at Crooked Lake. Mrs Mary Oplinger and daughters, Faye and Velma, are spending some time with friends at Detroit. Michigan. Herman Fox had his tonsils removed last Saturday. The Misses Ellen Schindler and Kathryn Liechty left Saturday for Detroit, Michigan, and Niagara Falls. They will visit some time with Miss Schindler's brother, Joe. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Brokaw and family, ot Muncie, visited with Mr. and Mis. John Abnet Sunday. Bernce, the daughter of Mr. and Mts. Ezra Habegger, of Monroe township, had her tonsils removed Monday. Miss Gladys Neuenschwander, clerk of Bell’s 5 and 10 cent store, is on her vacation this week. •Mr. and Mrs. Orval Smith and son, Grant, L. B. Smith and the Misses Dorothy Baumgartner and Catherine Anderson, of Getneva, spent the weekend at the (.akes. Rev. and Mrs. Ross Hartman of Cleveland.
