Announcement Party Geneva. July 22.— (Special)—Miss Mae Barton entertained the girls of her Sunday school class Monday night. The evening was spent in playing games and several contests were held. Helen Neal won first prize in the contests. After the contests were held, dainty refieshments were served and on each plate was a small bag ot rice, and when opened a small piece ot paper was disclosed that contained typewritten words. When the pieces ot paper were pieced together, they foretold of th approaching marriage ot Mae to Garrold Harrick, of Warsaw, which will take place the, latter par. of August. Those who partook of Mae's hospitality wore, the Misses Blanche Aspy, Ruth Linton. Gladys Aspy. Cecil Connor. Catherine Anderson, Esther Hutton. and Delilah Bierie, Ora Hoskinson, Helen Neal. Lavonne Mattax, Ida Barnes, the Sunday school teacher. Mr. Earl N’inde and wife, the S. S. superin enient, Mr. B. F. Odle and wife, also Bev. X. P. and Mrs. Earton. Mason-Engle Berne, July 22. — (Special.) — Miss Doris Engle, of Jefferson township, and Edgar Mason of Wabash township, were quietly married here Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. The vows were received by the Rev. J. 11. Arndt at the Evangelical parsonage. They will make their home with the bride's parents for the time being. Mrs. John Heller was hostess to her Afternoon Bi idge Club and several guests, Thursday afternoon at her home on Winchester street. Tables vote aranged for Bridge and the club prize was awarded to Mrs. Roy Archbold. who held high score. Mrs. Chrise»a Niblick received the guest prize wd Mrs. Oscar Hoffman won consol - *tion prize. The Omlrcon Chapter motored to Huntington ami the swimming party was in progress from seven to eight o’clock, and at eight o'clock a luncheon of charming appointments was served to the thirty! girls in the Pickwick Room of the Lafountaine hotel.
