Chuk, personal secretary to the I’resident, James C. White, secretary of the Republican National committee Col. Winship, personal military aid of President Coolidge, and Major James F. Coupul. the President’s personal physician for instance have made the ”A and F” their eating place. In “Fairyland” dance hall, up over the milk depot, others of more or less social prominence from Washington dance with the mayor’s daughter, alongside the waitresses dancing witli soldiers from the encampment nearby. Even some of the heavy bonds of social distinction which guard a President have been dropped by Mr. Coolidge, there being considerably less formality about all his activities than was usual at the white house in I Washington.
