Silver medals are awarded for yields of 85 to 100 bushels and itronze medals for yields of 75 to 85 bushels. In Adams county, one silver medal and eight bronze medals were awarded last year. Each contestant is furnished with a report blank in which to keep a labor and expense record. These are tabulated at the end of the year and a summary published in the Indiana Corn Growers' Associatiou report, which is sent to all members. The annual report, also, includes articles by successful contestants, all medal winners for the state, reports of the annual meeting and the various committees. Each member is furnished Ly a handsome membership button and an Indiana Farm Account Book. To serve as a further inducement to Adams county farmers to enter the contest. She left the “Red Arrow’’ special of the Pennsylvania railroad at Mt. Washington, in the northern suburbs, at 7:37 o'clock, walked to the trolley traces at North and Fifth avenues. Mt. Washington, and there wafted for a street car to take her on the rest of her journey to the city, just as if she were not the mother of the most famous man in the country today. Her departure from the train which was bearing her from Detroit to Washington at the small Mt. Washington station was not planned, apparently, until early this morning.
