Decatur Invites Good Citizens! >1 <1 ' ■ ♦ Wffwgs

DECATUR DAILY DEMOCRAT WEDNESDAY, MAY 25, 1927. ■W -

There is always room in any ambitious |l town for new citizens. And Decatur invites 1 1 people of good character to come and live here. « Folks from the large and medium sized ’ cities are looking countryward for their i future homes. They prefer the peace and contentment of the smaller towns, the pure, unsullied air, the better surroundings for children, and the increas- 2 ed joys of living. J * 9 3 1 Decatur can bring many of these home | seekers into its fold. But we must show K them the things that are desirable to new citizens. j i I Honest government, good schools and * s churches, a physically and morally clean | city, plenty of employment, attractive streets, opportunities for growing children, civic pride and genuine co-operation toward a constantly advancing | community—are the things that induce substantial citizens to make their homes here. j Attaining and maintaining these civic quali- | ties depend on the individual effort and j co-operation given by our present citizens. Let’s all work toward our Ideal j City and then be enthusiastic in boosting our town orally at every opportunity | 2Tii i
