May 25—(United , Press)—Between $20,000 and $25,000 . was estimated today to have been the damage done here late Tuesday by a tornado-like wind. With all the ferocity of a tornado, but otherwise having none of its characteristics, the gale struck Sullivan about 2:30 p.m., hit its hardest in the northeast parti of town, and after raging several minutes, passed. , The new Sullivan high school was . badly damaged, the roof being ripped off. Four or five houses were unroofed and one collapsed entirely, but n> one was injured. The Sullivan Mill and Elevator plaro was damaged and shade trees were torn but of the ground. Indianapolis, May 25. —(UP) —The third high wind within a week swoo]>ed down on Indianapolis late Tuev- I day and created near-panic among citizens. Damage was of a minor nature and there were no injuries. A brilliant lightning display, thunder and rain accompanied the wind. A bolt Struck the state capitol flagpole and ran down into the rotunda of the building, but aside from bending the pole, did no damage. Brazil, Ind., May 25. —(UP) —Windown glass was blown out, house; were damaged and shade trees uprooted by a tornado-like wind over Clay county Tuesday. It was the second in three weeks. The principal damage centered at Carbon. The Kalamazoo Clay Company's plant was damaged there. The loss was about $3 Oftft Saline City felt the same storm. Clinton, Ind., May 25 —(UP) —Business buildings and homes were slightly damaged by high winds here Tuesday. St. Bernice and Lyford also reported damage. o_ —. —

The new plans will change financial features of the Metger plan disapproved by the commission recently.
