CYCLONE TAKES 75 TO 100 LIVES IN TEXAS TOWN (CEETINVED FROM MH OMI» the grief and desolation left by the dust blackened winds, reported today. Small children were found burled under the timbers, their bodies pitifully crushed and battered. One child, barely able to walk, was found weeping bitterly over the bodies of her mother and father and two other members of her family. Scenes of the sort were to be found all over the area. Stunned by the loss of her husband and baby boy, one mother sat dry-eyed over their bodies refusing worker spermlssion to remove the bodies to the courthouse. A sheep herder's dog snarled viciously as workers strove to reach the body of his master, buried beneath a pile of timbers. The dog stood guard j throughout the night and this morning continued to defy all who came near. Many of the less seriously injured were treated at the wind battered court house and then made their way back through the debris littered town to aid in treating injured and recovering bodies. Reports say that many bandaged workers may be seen through the area. Medical supplies in the little “cow j town" are scarce but all have been gathered at the hospital—court house and all medical authorities have been sent there to take charge of the injured. The twin ravages of all such storms —pestilence and looting—were missing today, according to early reports. Some few cases of looting were reported but the militia is expected to

arrive within a few hours to take charge of the situation. Burying their grief under the stern necessity of the moment, the workers continued their efforts through the early hours of the morning. Nearly all had been touched by the tragedy, members of their families being killed or seriously Injured. For the moment this wus submerged by the needs of others.
