The kind commonly used, he testified, would not leave powder marks if fired from a distance of more than four inches. He also testified that a spent bullet found in the car was of the same caliber as the gun which was found in the car. Sycamore street, where the shooting occurred, followed McKinley on the witness stand Snider told of finding three empty shells, one in the car and two near it. He also identified the pistol, a 25caliber weapon of foreign make, which was fpund in the machine.
