BOYS ANO GIRLS ENROLL IN CLUB Fourteen Already Entered In First Year Calf Club In Adams County Fourteen boys and girls have enrolled in the “First Year Calf Club", fur, according to a count made of the enrollment cards made at the county agents office yesterday evening. AU of them come from six townships, no cards have been received from Jefferson, Blue Creek, Union, Root, Preble and Washington townships. Boys and girls who wish to enroll are urged to do so at once in order that plans may be made for obtaining calves for them wherever it is necessary. According to the rules for the club, as approved by the county calf club committee, boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18, inclusive, may enter, using purebred dairy heifer calves dropped in February March, or April of this year. The calves will be shown in the County show to be held about October of this year. Winners in the calf club will be awarded SIOO in premiums appropriated by the Cloverleaf Creameries, Inc. The county calf club committee will meet after the enrollment is completed in order to determine a definite schdule

of awards. In the 1926 calf club, the first four winners were awarded trips to the Purdue Club Roundup, which will be held May 3-7, 1927. Those who will make the trip are: Frederick J. .Duff, Halirtford township; Hertha M. Schwartz, Monroe township; Abraham ll* Dehniun, Wabash township; und James Smith, of St. Marys township. Enrollment cards for entering the calf club may be obtained at any of the banks in the county, from teachers in the schools or at the county agent’s office. Schwartz, Jr., was born last night at 8 o'clock to Mr. and Mrs David J. Schwartz, of north of Berne. Doth mother and babe are fine, and Dave Senior was in Decatur this afternoon receiving congratulations of friends. Dave says the baby is a Democrat. o Mr. Millikan, of Indianapolis, head of the child welfare division of the state board of charities, was a visitor in Decatur today.
