Miss Marcella Hewer was hostess to the Bridge < I’'-’' l last evening at her home on Fourth street. Tables were arranged for Bridge and prizes were I won by Mrs. J. It. Blair and Miss Angie Firks. Miss Desolee Chester was awarded the guest piize. Refreshments l were served at 'he conclusion of the ! games. Th- appointments carried out i were in keeping with St. Patrick's Day. Miss Mamie Anderson was also a guest besides the club meipbers. The next meeting will he with Miss? i HeHlen Stephensen. Mrs. Cecil Hair will entertain the members of the Monday Night Club Monday evening at 7:30 o’clock. Mrs. Noah Fry, and Mrs. Ed Bokneeht were rewarded with beautiful prizes for high scores. Refreshments of St.. Patrick's Day appointments were served. March 11. — (United Press.) —a laborer and five of , his seven children were burned to death in their home today. Wiliam Stevenson poured kerosene into the kitchen range. An explosion followed, anfl the house went up in flames. Using long poles and rakes, firemen and state troopers removed the charred bodies from the embers. Those dead were: S'evenson: and; five Stevenson children, Ernest, 11; | Shinn, 12; Alfred. 9; Mildred. G; and' Lillian, one month. Three members, of the family, Mrs. Stevenson, and two of the children escaped.
