For several years she taught In the high school there and for the past seven years has been saleslady for the Hulman Company at Terre Haute. The groom recently opened a Music and Electric shop in Peterstag. The Adams County Holiness Association will hold their monthly meeting. Sunday March 6 at 2:30 P. M. at the Missionary Church at Berne, Indiana. Rev. Rich of Huntington, Indiana will be the speaker. The publk is cordially invited to attend. Following is the menu to be served at the cafeteria supper, to lie given by the Ladies Aid Society cf the United Brethren church, in the churcfy basement, corner of Ninth and Madison streets, from 5 to 7 o'clock Saturday evening: creamed chicken, noodles mashed potatoes, meat loaf, gravy, baked beans, potato salad, cold slaw, macaroni ano cheese, pickles, jelly rolls, bread and butter, coffee, pie, cake and eskirno pies. The Work and Win clas of the United Brethren church held their monthly meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs Clarence Drake, on Monroe street, last evening. Mr. and Mrs. Russell were the assisting hostesses. The ar.endance was exceptional large uml a most interesting and happy Program was carried out. Covers were laid for the Misses Sally Lengerich, Helen Kocher, Margaret Mylott, Catherine Omlor, Gertrude Thieme, Ethel Ervin and Mesdames Calvin Coppess and Clyed Butler. Mrs. A. R. Holthouse entertained the members of the Bridge Club last evening at her home on Sixth street. I Miss Emilie Crist was a guest, besides j the club members. Mrs. Will Bowers won high score and was rewarded with a lovely prize. At the conclusion of the games the hostess served delightful refreshments. The Carpe Diem Club will meet with Mrs. J. F. Eichhorn Tuesday evening- at 7:30 o'clock. All members are urged to attend. The Ladies’ Aid Society of the Salem Methodist church met wi’h Mrs. Ora Peterson, Wednesday afternoon. During the. afternoon, the ladies pieced comfort blocks. Plans were made for an entertainment to be given soon.
