Any farmer in the county is eligible to enter the contest. There are no restrictions as to the breed of hogs, as they may be purebreds, grades, cross breds, scrubs, mulefoots or bobtails. It- is required, however, that each and every litter cn the fijrin I arrowed during February, March and April, 1927, be ear-marked and reported on cards furnished tor the purpose. The one membership fee entitles one to enter as many litters as he wishes. HOSPITAL NOTES Mrs. Catherine Brake, 5'M N'.iltman Avenue, underwent a minor operation at the Adams County Memorial Hojdtul ami is recovering nicely,. Mrs. Joseph Brookhart, of Monroe, who was recently admitted to the local hospital for medical treatment, is re covering satisfactorily. William Teeters, 717 Winchester street, who has been >a patient at the Adams County Memorial Hospital receiving medical treatment, is in a critical condition. Flora Bezeak is recovering nicel) from a major operation, which he underwent a few days ago at the local hospital. * | HEAVY FOG Motoring Made Mazardous By Fog Tuesday Night The fog last night was one of the heaviest ever seen here. Local peopleloming from Fort Wayne from the Rotary conference, and from Lima, Ohio, where they attended a basket-j ball game, experienced much trouble . i:i driving their cars. The tog was so 1 envy that at times a person could not I : ee Hu.- road and in some cases it took Iwo hours to drive home from Fort Wayne. No serious accidenta were reported, although a few cars ran off the Fort Wayne road. The fog seemed to travel in great clouds 4ml the light--in the cars failed to ]ienetrute the mist. Berne Man Faces Charge Os ProVoke Berne, Feb. 23. —An affidavit charg* ing provoke has been filed m a local justice of the peace court, by Irvin Lehman against Dan Morand. HOLDING REVIVAL Revival At Pleasant Mills M. E. Church Progressing The revival services in the Methodist church nt Pleasant Mills are at high tide every evening. The church is filled to capacity. Rev. E. I’-1 White is preaching great evangelistic | sermons and the jaiwer of the Holy Spirit is manifest to all. '1 he invitation is scarcely given until seekers are at the altar. Over half of the 47 converts are young men and boys. Very little excitement, as It is commonly thought of, is manifest, but there is a mighty drawing of the Spirit, upon the hearts of the people and ,i wonderful response. Everybody enjoys the special music each evening, especially the singing of Rev. and Mrs. White, which is very effective. TO OPEN REVIVAL Calvary Evangelical Church To Open Campaign A series of revival meetings will begin Thursday evening, Feb. 24, at tlie Calvary Evangelical church, s'j miles east of Decatur. The church is , lone mile north and one mile east of' Bobo. The meetings will bo in charge of the pastor, the Rev. R. W. Loose, who will be assisted by Mrs.! Ida Tribbett, the evangelist who aided him three and one-half weeks at al meeting in Decatur, in which many souls were saved. These meetings will begin at 7 o'clock.
