Upp The Kirkland Kangaroos will play their alumni in a game here Saturday night, according to an announcement made today, 'fhe Kangaroos will play Lancaster here Friday night. Pleasant Mills and Jefferson have finished their schedules and. unless another game is scheduled, will be idle until the sectional tourney here March 4 and 5. The winner of the sectional here will meet the winner of the Fort Wayne sectional in the first game of the Fort Wayne regional, March 12. This game will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12. At 3 p.m., the winner of the Bluffton sectional will play the . winner of the Columbia City sectional, and on Saturday night, the winners of the two afternoon games will meet in a game that will decide which of the four teams will go to Indianapolis for the final tourney. The winner of the Fort Wayne regional will meet the winger of the Vinrynnes regional in the second game of the state tourney", to be play March 18. This game will be plenty tough, too. / . —. . - We believe that the winner of the Adams county sectional has a good chance of winning lhe Fort Wayne regional. Decatur has defeated Bluffton twice, and CoTnmbia City once, and, although Fort Wayne Central won from Decatur in a game in which neither team played basketball comparative scores show the YellowJackets to be as good as Central. And if another Adams county team should beat Decatur in the sectional, that, team, should have a better chance, naturally, than Decatur. Coach Center is working the

It will be the farewell appearance for several Commodores on the home flotjr and they, are anxious to make that last show a goed one. The I.H.S.A.A. board of control ruled yesterday that there was insufficient evidence to show that Lester Reynolds, Martinsville high school star, attacked Columbus player after a game nt Martinsville, recently. and the hoard exonerated Reynold-. A great celebration was staged at Martinsville, wo are informed, following announcement of the decision. With Reynolds playing, \Coach Glenu Curtis has an excellent chance Ip cop the state title with the Martinsville team. Did you notice in the schedule for the state tourney that the Martinsville and Ixigansport regional winners. which undoubtedly will be Martinsville and Logansport, will meet in the first, round of the state finals? One of the strongest contenders. for ihe championship will he eliminated in the first round. The epidemic of the mumps is get-1 ting serious in Decatur high school i and much anxiety is being felt lest members of the basketball squad "catch'' the disease. Watch Monroe! , Dear Mark M.
