BEET GROWERS GET CONTRACT (CONTtNtIBD rmiH MH •«»» guaranteed .price, stated that there was an increased consumption of sug-j ur and the outlook for a good market for the coining year was excellent. The sugar company also offers a liberal feature whereby the beet grower may participate up to forty-nine per cent of the sugar packed from a ton of beets in the case where sufficient tonnage is received to Insure a maximum run for the factory. The sugar beet is immune from the attack of the corn borer, which has started to invade this section of the country, and the beets fit in well with the general farm crop rotation. These two features of the crop are being called to the attention of the farmers in this vicinity. o—CHURCHES REPORT LARGE AUDIENCES (CONTINI'KD FROM PAGE ONE) the message, and to assure her of a hearty welcome to Decatur. She has consented to preach each evening while visittiiiK here and Rev. Loose announced that Mrs. Tribbett would preach each evening of this week and ou Sunday. Mrs. Tribbett has had a wonderful experience in the Ixird. Who In turn has used her in the saving of hundreds and thousands of people, also in the healing of many who have had divers diseases of the body. It Is anticipated that a crowded house will greet Mrs. Tribbett this evening. Methodist Church “Upon our choice depend our physical. mental, moral and spiritual welfare,” declared Rev. Myron E. Tayjor last night a.t) the Methodist church in his sermon on “Choosing a Prince.” “There are two Princes spoken of in the Bible,” he continued. “The Prince of this world or the Prince of darkness, and the Prince of the House of David or the Prince of life. Every person in the world Is called upon to choose either the one or the other cf these great Princes. "It has been characteristic of mankind in every age to leave the true God: break His commandments and serve Satan, that devilish imp, whose highest ambition! from the begin ning of time has been to ruin the character and damn the souls of men. Moses had the same trouble with the people of his day, likewise Elijah with the people of that day, and even Christ found the people of Ilis time in the same frame of mind. The people liked the loaves and f shes well enough, but they did not like Christ well enough to serve Him and Him alone and in the hour of His awful trial there was only a handful of people who stood wfith Him. Religious leaders of our day are having the same difficulty. "There '■are two great Frjaecs, either one of which we must expose We cant be neutral; we are now serving either Christ or Satan. It does not matter whether we are ir the church or outside of the church if we are sinning against God, wc are serving the devil, for the scrip tnres say, ‘He that sinneth is of the devil.’ , "Each day we are becoming more and more like the one we serve. I’ we choose Christ we •shall become like Him. for the Bible says. ‘We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is,' and if we choose Satan we shall become like him eventually. We are becoming more Satan or Christ every day we live. 'Ye cannot serve God and mammon. i Wo either are helping Satan win or I Christ win. We are on one side or ' tho other.
