Varsity Wins Listless (lame On Local Floor Saturday Night 29-9 The Decatur hlfth school Yellow Jacket* defeated the Fremont high school eager* “under wraps”, in a listip-* game in the I). H. S. Gym Saturday night. 29-9. Neither team played much basketball, outside ct some pretty fair guarding displayed by the Yellow Jackets. Fremont tailed to make a field goal until the last two minutes of the game when two long shots rang the bell. The featute game of the evening was the contest between the high school girls and the alutnni girls, which was won bv the latter after a stubborn battle by » score of 21-20. The score was tied several times and each team led at different stages of the game. The count was knotted at 15-all and 17-all shortly before the game ended. One or two of the high school regu- 1 lars were not In the lineup, due to the fact that they were working. The Yellow Jackets started scoring a few seconds after the game started when Annadell caged a short shot. Krick made a free throw count and then tossed' in a field goal. Somers missed a free throw, but a moment later threw a field goal, giving Decatur a 7-0 lead. Reynolds was substituted for Bell. Dirrin scored first for Fremont on Gerber's personal. Gerber held Derrin again and the Freemont center scored a free throw. Somers dropped in a pretty field goal on a long shot Lankenau substituted for Krick while Coach Curtis gave the big back gaurd some advice. Krick returned to the game and Decatur took time out. Cole substituted for Gerber. Krick sank another long field goal and Somers tossed in one from shoit range, score Decatur, 14. Fremond 2. Bohyer scored a point on Reynolds' foul ending the scoring for the half. Somers opened the scoring in the second half with a field goal. After Derrin made a point on a free throw, Bell. Bebout and Gerber returned to the game. Krick shot his third field goal of the game Annadell and Beboiit each scored field goals. Miller scored one point on Bebout's foul. Reynolds substituted for Bebout and scored a field goal. Gerber made a free throw and Reynolds scored a field goal..
