ANTHONY WAYNE RALLIES TO WIN Fort Wayne Quintet Beats G. E. Five tn Last Minute Spurt, 22-16 After leading all the way. the General Electric basketball team ot th s city fell before a rally staged by the Antjhony Wayne Institute quintet, of Fort Wayne, in the final minutes of their game in the D. 11. S. gym last night, the Institute eagers carrying home the long end of a 22-16 score. The visitors had never been In the lead until they started their rally in the last two minutes of pllay. The ga%e was fast and wellplayed throughout. Both teams had difficulty in hitting the basket in the first liatf. which ended with the electricians leading. 1 S-4. The locals held on to their lead in the second half, although the visitors kept, threatening all the way. With the score standing 16-15 in favor of the electricians. Anthony Wayne took time out. Cleve.and has won eight games and lost none in the league o TO GIVE COURSE IN OFFICIATING Indiana University To Give Instruction In Sports Officiating Bloomington. Ind.. Dec. 15. —Indiana University has taken the first step towards bettering the sports officiating in Indiana high schools. A course in sports officiating wi'.l be offered in the summer coaching school of Indiana University starting June 10 and continuing until July 8. It is the first course ever offered in this branch of athletics in the United States, it is thought. The course has the indorsement of A. L. Trester, permanent secretary of the Indiana High School Athletic Association. In a recent statement before the Co-operative Officials’ Association of Southern Indiana, Mr. Trester declared the course one which should be attended by every high school official-in Indiana. No previous scholastic work will be required for enrollment. The class will meet at night four times each w«4k dining the semester.
