Mrs. Floyd Enos delightfully enter tained the Carpe Diem Club at a sis o’clock dinner party, last evening. The long table in the dining room lookec lovely with a small lighted Christmas tree as Its centerpiece, decorated with festooning of tinsel. The two smal tables were centered with tall rei cathedral tapers in low cryetal h'l ers and the places of the guests were marked with dainty Christmas crca tlons harmonising with the red and white nut cups. At the conclusion of the dinner, the Club members had their Christmas exchande. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Dee Fryback. Miss Angie Firks was hostess to the Tri Kappa sorority Tuesday evening at her home on First street. A final report on the Golden Rule drivt was given, the amount - being $92.12 final plans were made for the Ohio Wesleyan Glee Club concert, which will be given in the high school audl | torium December 30. Tickets will be sold by the members. Plans were made for the annual Christmas and Mothers' Party to be held in the Elks home Dec ember 27. The guest dance will be given at the Masonic hall, December 31. Committees were appointed to take charge of the annual poor farm Chris' mas treat. During the social hour. Mrs. Glenn Neptune was pledged. The hostess served dainty refreshments The annual Christmas party and exchange was held by the members of the Rebecca Lodge last evening, following the lodge session. The social rooms were decorated with Christmass bells, red and green fqjtooning and pine needle. The small tables were centered with miniature Christmas trees and red and green tapers. The •colors of red and green were carried out in the two-course luncheon. Covers were laid for thirty-five guests. The! exchange of gifts was held following the luncheon. The committee in charge of the party included Mesdames Don Teeple, Acker, Drum. Anna Mallott and Miss Ada Stevens. Double Wedding A double wedding took place yesterday afternoon at three o’clock at the Zion Reformed parsonage in which Mr. Louis A. Brunner, of near Monroe, and Mrs, Minnie Musser, of Decatur. Scores of relatives and friends called on the couple during the day.to extend their best wishes. The house was decorated in white and golden colors Yellow erysanthemums formed the center piece of one table and roses, another. Streamers of yellow ribbon extended from the center of the table to each corner, where they were held by yellow candles and holders. A boun tiful dinned was served to forty-five guests at noon. While the dinner was being served, music was furnished by Voyle and Harold Davis, playing duets on cornet and clarinet; andby Harold and Donald Davis, playing solas on the cornet and slide trombone.
