Engle, as a result of an automobile accident in 1925, went on trial in the Adams circuit court before Judge Sutton and a jury this morning. At-1 1 torney R. C. Parrish, of Fort Wayne, is counsel for the plaintiff, while the defendant is reprfesenteu by Attorney Dore B. Erwin, of Decatur. Suit To Foreclose Lien A suit to foreclose a mechanic’s lien on an oil lease in Jefferson township was filed in the circuit court today by James F. Arnold against J. William O’Neil and others. Judgment for 5375 is asked, that sum being due for materials for oil wells which the p'a'ntiff alleges he furnished to defendants. Attorneys Fruchte at ’ ' ’tterer, of Decatur, are counsel fc plaintiff. b, age Licenses Joseph D Krick, carpenter, Monroe, to Arrilla Parker, Decatur. Verdict For Defendant In the trial of the case of The Rowlands Company vs. Roy W. Fish, held in the circuit court here Saturday, the jury returned a verdict for the defendant finding that the defendant had not unlawfully detained the property of the plaintiffs. The verdict was returned about 5 o'clock Saturday evening, after the jurors had deliberated for about a half hour. The ere was venued here from Allen county. The score at the half was 10-2. C. Hill and J. Hill did all of the scoring for the winners, the former getting five field goals and the latter, four.
