WRECKED MINE AT PRINCETON SEAL ED TODAY ((omuraMß • HOM PAOW ONE) Escaped unhurt, 15. It ma be a month or more before the mine can be unsealed and explored for the rest of the bodies, officials said. An investigation to determine the cause f the explosion was being made today by officials of the Francisco Mining company, inspectors of the state mining department and a representafive of the-federal bureau of mines. Two fire bosses had completed an inspection of the workings a short time before the disaster and reported conditions satisfactory in the mine at the time they made their survey. The theory was advanced that a "squeeze” of the walls in an old channel of the mine forced an accumula- ■ tion of gas out into the workings after the inspection and this pocket was touched off by a miner s lamp or a spark from an electric motor. o COURT HOUSE Case On Trial Today The case of The Rowlands Company vs. Roy W. Fish, a suit for possession of property which was venued here from Allen county, went on trial in Adams circuit court this morning before Judge Sutton and a jury. Evidence was still being presented late this afternoon. __ 0 — FIELD GOALS CJ® J jk By Mark M. Upp i • I Tonight's schedule: Bluffton at Decatur; Commodores at Huntington; Ossian vs. Kirkland, old gym Decatur; Hartford vs. Monmouth, old gym, Decatur; Monroe vs. Jefferson at Berne; Pleasant Mills at Berne. The Hartford Gorillas and Monmouth will meet tonight at the old gym here to play a game that was postponed from November 19. This game will start at 7 o'clock and the Ossian-Kirkland ga-ne, which will be played in the old gym also, will start at 8 o'clock. Two good games are expected. Realizing that their chances of going to the national Cathelte tourney next spring depend much on their showing against the CoinraawC" s ionight, the scrappy little caga.- o of St. Marys high, Huntington, are planning to put up a hard fight. We’re picking the Commodores to win without much difficulty, however. The Yellow Jackets have worked up unusual interest for their game with the Bluffton Tigers here tonight. All reserved seats were sold by Tuesday evening and indications are that there will be a rush for the unreserved seats when the doors open at 6:15 o’clock this evening, Standing room lil&ly will be at a premium long before the game starts. Corns, worts and Charley horse were still bothering Buckner, chief dispenser of basketball chatter in the Bluffton Banner, yesterday—more so than they were the members of the Tiger basketbal team, we imagine. About one "' lore ou burst, and we'll class Buck as a proper candidate to receive a degree of master of wort and cornology. A YELLOW JACKET STING IS SAID TO BE A GOOD REMEDY FOR CORNS AND WORTS.
