COMMODORES TO MEET GIBAULT Old Rivals From Vincennes To Play Catholic High Wednesday Night Gibault high school of Vincennes, rivals of thn Decatur Catholic high • school for parochial school basketball honors in Indiana during the past two years, will make their annual appearance in Decatur tomorow night. The strength of the southerners this year is not known here, but Gibault has had a strong team each year for the last several years and the Commodores are preparing for a fibre! battle tomorrow night. After meeting Gibault here Wednes- „ day night, the Commodores will go to Huntington Friday night to meet the St. Mary's high school team of that going good this fall and last Friday city. The St. Mary’s team has been night defeated the Marion Catholic high team. A preliminary game will be played tomorrow night, starting at 7:30 o'clock. Welbourn, of Fort W’ayne, will referee the big game. The St. Joseph eighth grade team will meet Its old rival, the Central school eighth grade quintet, in the preliminary game, starting at 7:30 o’clock. These two teams stage a redhot series of games each winter and 1 this game will be the opening of the 1926-27 series. The St. Joe team de-J seated the Delphos Catholic high school second team here last Thurs-' day night and the Central quintet downed the Bluffton eighth graders here Friday night. Lundy Welbourn. of Fort Wayne, will referee the big game. 0 G. E. TO PLAY BERNE TONIGHT M. Y. M. Team, Composed Os Former Berne H. S. Stars To Play Locals t The General Electric basketball team w'ill meet the fast M. Y. AL team . of Berne, in the Decatur high school gymnasium this evening. The Berne quintet is composed of former Berne high school stars, including three or; f:ur members of the champion quintet i of last year. The team was organized' by the Mennonite Young Men of Berne.
