DEFEATS RED CROWNS Local Quintet Plays Good Basketball To Beat Port Wayne Team,.2B-23 Playing a greatly improved brand cf basketba 1, the Decatur Gere- al Electric team defeated the fast Fort Wayu* Red Crowns at the Decatur high school gym last night. 28-23. The locals held a lead of several points during most of the contest, ami piled up a 13-4 margin in the first half. Bud White, former back guard on the Decatur high school team, was in the lineup for the G. E. last night, having iecovered from a tonsil operation, anil he was a big factor in Decatur victory. Bud was powerful on the def<>nse and started many plays for his team that resulted iu scores. Jack Teeple, substituting tor Johnson nt floor guard in the first half, scored three field goals. Kleinknight and Loyd Beal each scored three field goals, also, Mossbaugh was high point man forth • visitors, s oring five field goals and on“ free throw. The G. E team will play the newly organized M. Y. M. team of Berne, here next Tuesday night.
