Examination of the body which wat in a bad state of decomposition, showed that a bullet fired by city marshall Lee Brier, who aided the sheriff in the attempt to arrest Ratcliff, bad found its mark. New Affidavit Filed A new affidavit, charging issuing of i fraudulent clonk, was filed today in xrcuit court against Joe W. Matson. >f Fort Wayne, who was arrested last weelf and placed in the county jail here. The new affidavit charges that Matson passed a check at the John T. Myers clothing store on July 23. 1926, made payable to Frank Smith and purporting to have been signed by J. Hougk The check was endorsed “Frank Smith." Matson's bond wasf fixed at S6OO.
