July 16- Paul JJerleubucli and Jack Delaney, two of the greatest light heavyweights the ring J over has known were ready to tight last night in the Brooklyn baseball 1 park te decide which wus the real {champion of the 175 pound class. They weighed in before the Now York boxing comntisison —Bcrlcnbach the champion. 174 1-4 pounds, and Delaney, the challenger, 166 V& pounds. The medical examiners of the commission pronounced them perfect by every means that medical and surgical science has of discovering defects. "I’m alright and ready to go," Berlenhach su’d. "Nothing hut some more bad luck can beat me," Delaney said. Anil then It started to rain and it continued to rain. The postponement until tonight was announced and Delaney's had luck turned- to the proverbial good luck of Bcrlenbach. Berlcnbach had to go through the tortures of rho damned to remove more than a pound of weight from his body in two hours before, he had to step on flie scales and prov e that he was not more than 175 pounds, the

j legal weight of ;be division. The rules of the com mission provide that if the tight can bo held toI night, the fighters do not have to weigh in again and in tho twentyfour Intervening hours Berlonbacli can eat heartily, and come*lnto the ring tonight at his own weight. Delany can do the same thing, of course, the best bo can add to Ills leverage ; will bo only that of a light heavyj, woiglH.
