Hays, Kans., (United Press)—A snake swallowed another equally as large as a free exhibition for a college class in zoology during a class period at the Hays State Teachers' College here. Prof. L. B. Wooster, of the biology department, placed a king snake and a blue racer of almost exactly the same size into a glass cage. He then invited his laboratory class to watch the “performance.” Without any preliminaries tho king snake promptly wrapped himself about the blue racer and commenced to swallow his companion. The meal reutrod about two hours in the taking. i 0 - Death At Sesqui-Centennial Philadelphia, June i (United Press.)—One man died from escapiug gas and lour others were overcome at the Sesqui-Centennial grounds today when workmen digging a ditch opened a gas main. i Uene McDonigle. 43.
