The contract for the construction of the Porter road in St. I Marys township was awarded to Phil} Sauer on his bid of $3,482. The con-' tract fbr the improvement of the Habegger road in Mcnrce township was awarded to Bleberick and Arnold, on their bid of $3,431.00. The roads will be improved this summer. Contracts for the building of foun new bridges were awarded as follows: Magley bridge, to Homer Arnold. $1,495; Boze bridge, to Charles Cole. $767.00; Meyer bridge, to Joel EUenbarger, $2,470; Kohne bridge, to Charles Cole. $757. Carroll and Son was awarded the contract for furnishing coal at the court house and county infirmary and Julius Haugk the contract for furnishing the coal to the county jail. 0 Delegates Tie In First Ward Republican Contest Ju the contest between Mrs. W. A. Lower and Charles Burdg, in the republican primary for delegate to the state convention from Decatur, ! first ward, the total vote was a tie. Both candidates received 36 votes for i the position. In such event, it is the duty of the county chairman to either decide who will act as delegate or give each of the candidates a half vote at the convention. L. A.
