Its one of the important jobs of the spring season always. By the way this is a good time to be getting the screens ready and in the meantime remember that by swathing the early flies you get rid of the job of chasing a few millions after while. Well, the tough part about a primal y is that only one candidate for eaih race can win. They were all good fellows and the voters had a bard time deciding on who was who to vote for. i The vote came in nicely from most »f the precincts but we finally got -tetuck with live precincts out and had .'to go to press with the morning edition without a complete table in order to make the deliveries by mail. An appropriation of $75,001)3)00 to extend federal aid for highways through the year 1929 lias passed the house ami has been favorably reported from the senate committee. Now if tlp?y will spend a good portion of that on tire Benjamin Franklin road, shortest unite from San Francisco to Atlantic City, everybody will be happy. The strike in England is one of the most serious economical events in all history and just where it will end cannot be told at this time. More than four million men are out of work, fifty million people in Great Britain are in economic chaos, a hundred thousand soldiers have been rushed out from Scotland Yards but the men are obstinate anil bloodshed is reported already. Its bad business any way you figure it. The democrats cast a splendid vote al the primary due to the various 'contests and showed much interest in ■the election. We hope they will light •just as hard next November and will assist in piling up an old time majority for the winners of yesterdays primary. The republican vote in this county was very light excepting in a few precincts. The workers here evidently favor Watson and Robinson for United States senator. The Better Homes Exposition will be held May 17th to 22nd in a tent Fn Liberty Way and indications are that it will be a wonderful event wlt|i exhibits of varied kind and interest '■ and with a program of lectures, entertainment and a general good time rarely equalled in a city the size of Decatur. The tent will cover more than eight thousand feet of floor space, being fifty feet wide and 170 feet long. New attractions are being added each day and now with the primary out of the way there will be • a general effort to make the exposition a success in every way. The program will include addresses by leading men of the country on subjects of vital, importance to the community. Its a splendid ticket and ought to win easily next November. | less to tell you about them for they P are all well known and In every way capable of serving you. We hope an organization strong and unassailable will he made and that the people will •.jtake such an interest in the election 1 that the decisions in the November election will decisively favor the men selected In the primary which was fairly and honestly conducted. The J smoke of the battle is clearing away and there are few if any sore spots * among the candidates or their friends. la’ls unite now to make this the best campaign for the highest purposes, lets strive to continue in Adams county a strong and forceful Jeffersonian party. The primary is over after '-a long and hard campaign and everybody including the winning and the losing candidates are glad of it. Now for an organization which will {present the issues to the people in such a manner that victory will be assured next November. Old Adams county has prospered through several decades under democratic administration, which has been {marked by honest, courteous and efficient service on the part of its office holders. You have had the promise of national prosperity for several years now ami have heard the chuckle of the politicians after the republicans have won in state and nation. Ton should trust the party in this county which has proven its value to you and which you need now worse than ever before. "For five years I suffered with liver trouble and constipation. My ; bowels were so sluggish they would hardly act more than once a week. My complexion was yellow and I was all run down. My appetite was poor and I had a disgust for food most of the time. I went down to i 136 pounds, and my vitality was so low I just had no pep «t all. I felt lazy and wanted to sleep all the time. I tried different medicines and nothing did me any good. Then a relative recommended Viuna. Before I had taken half a bottle I felt better, and by the time I had taken the second bottle I had gained 4 pounds and could eat anything, had a good, healthy appetite and was feeling fine. All that drowsiness Was gone and I would get up in the morning full of pep.
