Manchester has made B a fine record this season, but last night's defeat spoils the team’s claim B to a clear state title. ■ No college team can justly be crowned state champions this ■ year, since all have been defeated by a state opponent. Teams that justly can claim state honors include Manchester, Indiana, Purdue, Butler, Franklin and Notre Dame. U t There were forty personal fouls called in the ganje between the teams frotn the Methodist and Zion Reformed churches at the 1). H. b. gym last Sight. Even though Coach Kennedy war justified in calling all of the fouls, the game was a much better exhibition than would be expected. Tonight's a big night in the old town. The Yellow Jackets tackle Columbia City and the Commodores tangle with C. C. H. S. Either one of these contests would be a headliner by itself, but to have both on the same evening sure offers the fan a great menu. The Commodores are sure of playing to a packed house, since all seats have been sold in advance, indications are that the Yellow Jackets will perform before a large crowd of fans, since interest Ih the game is high. The school officials have accomodated the fans by arranging the games for different hours, so that the fans can see both contests. "The Yellow Jackets play t'bluiiibia City Friday ilight, shoot cm hn d, Dftatur. And 20, points for the Fighting Five Friday night. we think the seme ought to be about 43 to 23. The Oibtttilt-high school team of Vincennes, which was defeated by 1 h Cotumodores twice this season, lost to the Vincennes University team ruestlay night, 35-14. What’s the matter with Bobby Starr, originator of the column, “What the Stars Say,” in the Frankfort Times? Bobby’s tolumn seldom appears any' more and when It does it is abbreviated. He is one of the veteran columnists of the state and, since he is backing the state champs, we wonder why he is so conspicuous about his silence. i per rentage All ihembers of the local rtqtkad are in good condition with the exception of Bob Strickler, center, 'whose knee has not entirely recovered from injuries In the game at Vnn Wert two weeks ago. He probably will I play a portion or all of the game, how- ' ever. j The Commodores have an important contest on hand tonight. By winning from the C. C. H. S. five, the locals lean lay joint claim to the state parochial school championship with Hie Ft. Wayne team. A victory for the visitors will practically give them the title, as they defeated the Commodores at Fort Wayne two weeks ago, 14-11. Even though the Commodores lose tonight, which 13 not likely, they will have a : fine chance to go to the national Catholic tourney at Chicago n<'xt month, owing to their splendid record this year and last. Every seat in the Catholic high gym has been sold for several days and scores have been unable to secure tickets. Standing room for about 150 persons will be sold tonight, but not until 8:15 o’clock. ' Avoid PoorlyBalanced Breakfasts I Quaker Oats supplies excellent “food balance” IF you feel tired, hungry, “fidgety," hours before lunch, don't jump to' the conclusion of poor health. You may have ttnenergetic mornings because your breakfasts lack certain important food elements. To feel right, you must have a wellbalanced, complete breakfast ration. At most other meals — lunch and dinner — you get it. But breakfast is a hurried meal, often badly chosen. Thus Quaker Oats, containing 16% protein, food's great tissue builder, 58% carbohydrate, its great energy element, plus all-important . vitamines and the “bulk" that makes laxatives seldom needed, is the dietetic urge of the world today. 1 It is food that “stands by” you through the morning. Quick Quaker cooks in 3 to 5 minutes. That’s faster than plain toast. Don't deny yourself the natural stimulation this rich j food offers you. Quaker Oats
