TEMPERATURE FALLS IN EAST Winter Weather Continues Along Atlantic Seaboard; Death Toll Is 15 New York, Feb. 11--(United Press) • Winter weathi r hardening snow deposits with thick crusts, continued along the Atlantic seaboard today. Temperature dropped far below freezing, but the weather bureau held hope that thermometers would rise tomorrow. The thermometer here got down to G degrees during the night. Upwards of 15 Pves snuffed out in yesterday's blizzard. Traffic of all kinds continued to be delayed. I/>w temperatures here sheeted the sidewalk-; with ice. o TRACTION LINES BOY BUS ROUTES Control Os Red Ball And Hoosier Stage Lines Sold For $32,788 Indianapolis, Ind., Feb. 11. —(United' Press)—The public service commis-' • sion today approved, in record, time, the petition to sell certificates of con-| vi-nience and necessity of the Red Hall bus lines and the Hoosier Stage lines . to traction interests. By this action the traction companies of the state control al) but two |of the lines operated by the Red Ball and Stage lines. ' A total of $32,788 was paid for the . nine certificates involved. ; The Union Traction company and
the Indiana Motor Transit company, I a subsidiary of the Terre Haute, Indianapolis and Eastern Traction company, were the purchasers. Indianapolis, Inc., Feb. 11.—(Unit-! , r-d Press.)--Petitions, which if grant I ed will give the trnction lines of the state control of two of the largest bus companies in Indiana, were on file today with the public service com mission. I The petit lons wi-ri- filed by Fred I. .Jones, receiver for the Red Hall, asking iM-rmisslon to sell al! of the celllticutes held by his company, except one, to traction companies. Jones also asks authority to sell to the Union Traction company certifiraTos for lines from Indianapolis to Sheridan and Noblesville and Indian-' apolis and Muncie and Marlon. The latter certificates are now held by the Hoosier stage lines. The price of these certificates amounts to $16,400. The largest deal contemplated is that by which the Indtana Motor Transit company, a subsidiary of the Terre Haute, Indianapolis and Eastern Traction company would receive control of the linos from Indianapolla to Richmond, Lafayette, Crawfordsville and Martinsville. The purchase price would be $15,000 exclusive of equipment. ’Pile Indianapolis-Rockville Red Ball Hue would lie sold to the Platter and Baldwin company now operating a line from Indianapolis to Clinton for $1,388. — o South American Motion Picture Fans See Forty Reels At A Performance Buones Aires, Feb. 11. — (United 'Press)—“Big times for thin dimes" is the slogan of the movie houses in Buenos Aires.
