The morning was spent in knotting comforts. A pot-luck dlnuer was served at noon, after which a business meeting was lipid. During the social hour in the afternoon, light refreshments were served. Those present were Mesdames J. T. Dailey, Edward Koos, Austin M'eMichael, Alfred Daniels, 11. S. Colter. Charles Bowman and the Misses Rachel, Mabel and Maude Springer, Ora Gilpen and Madeline Bowman, and Master Jimmie Dowmau. The regular meeting of tlie Dancing Club will be held Friday evening at B:3ti o'clock. All members are urged to attend. UNWED MOTHER IS SENTENCED Newcastle Uirl, 17, Sentenced To Serve Term In Clermont Girls’ School Newcastle, Iml.. Feb. 6-(United Pi ess) —Marjorie Duffy, the unwed mother, whose baby was found dead in a suitcase, today wns sentenced to serve a term at ihe Clermont School of Girls, at Indianapolis. The young woman, who admitted to jHilice thut she stuffed the body of her babe into the suitcase, not knowing whether the child was dead, today was found to be only 17 years of age instead of 19 as she had contended. Prosecutor Benson Said today that tho murder charge filed against the young woman would lie dropped in view of the developments and the coroner returned a verdict of death due to negligence and ignorance at birth. The girl's mother, a w'idow, whose only support is a sixteen year old son came here today and said she would give up her little Kentucky farm and move here. ITevost, mother of Mario Prevost, motion picture star, was killed mid Al Christie, comedy producer and Vera Stodiium, actress, were seriously injured in an auto accident 23 miles east of Ixirdsburg, New Mexico, according to advices here tuduy. Christie and Miss Steadman were pinned under the wreckage and narrowly escaped death. Eastern brokers bought 26 1-2 per cent of the common stock of the company, but control of the utility remains with the interest held by C. S. Perry and the Marmon estate.

Hultzcil had not regarded the letter seriously und had destroyed it. The letter purported to liave beeu written by an Kalian and said, “We Italians are organized in this country" and “we intend to do something.” Tho letter also said that the judge was “(ho first on the li/t.” It was typewritten and was postmarked Chicago.
