The locals lost to the Garrett p team at Garrett several weeks ago, ■’ and they are determined to turn the 4 tables Friday night. Garrett lias won |j from several strong teams this season, including Fort Wayne South Side. 8 Auburn, and Kendallville. A victory for the Yellow Jackets Friday night will give them a much higher rating among other teams in this part of the p state. is Zwick and Thomas, members of the r varsity squad, are taking part in the senior class play last night and tos night, and their practice sessions have r been cut short, but (hey are in good n condition for the game. The Garrett b girls will play the local girls Friday night, also. 0 — 150 TICKETS ARE SENTTODECATOR Fans Quickly Snatch Up Tickets For I). C. H. S. Game At Fort Wayne Ono hundred and fifty tickets for the basketball game between the Decatur Catholic high school Commodores and the Central Catholic high school quintet at Fort Wayne Friday night, were quickly snatched up when placed on sale here this morning. All of the tickets were gone within an hour after they were placed on sale. Included in the lot were 100 adult tickets and 50 children’s tickets. Half of them were left at the Peoples restaurant and the other half at the Eats restaurant. The tickets are not good for reserved seats. They are general admission tickets, but the officials at Fort Wayne have promised to reserve a section of 150 seats for Decatur fans. The adult tickets sold for 50 cents and the children’s tickets for 35 cents. Coach France Conter announced today that there will be two special cars leaving the local interurban station for Fort Wayne at 7 o’clock Friday evening, to accomodate the local fans who wish to go to the game. The game promises to boa hard fought contest, it is being advertised as a contest to decide the Catholic high school championship of the state. The Commodores won the state title last year and are out to repeat this season. Tlfey have not met defeat in welve games this season. Fort Wayne has a strong team this year, however, and the Commodores will be pushed hard to win, according to predictions. o BALL BROTHERS ■ ANNOUNCE GIFTS (CONTINUE!!
