Ail women are uruged to come to these lectures and demonstrations, regardfess of whether they are mothers or not. In 1823, Indiana lost 392 . mothers, and 4630 babies under one of age—numbers which are far too high. The influence of every man and woman is needed in preventing these deaths. k The series of lectures opened yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock, at Linn Grove, the first one being for residents of Hartford township. Mrs. Dr. Me1 Kean, of Linn Grove, was chairman, and the other members of her committee were Mrs. Mary Meshberger, Mrs. Frank Ncusbaum and Mrs. Gus j Baker. These same women will have charge of the' future lectures and dem--1 enstratfons. Another meeting was held in the banquet room of the Eats restaurant at Berne, starting at 3 o'clock. Mrs. L. L. Yager was chairman of the committee in charge there. The other members of the committee ) ate Mrs. M. M. Baumgartner, Mrs. ' Thurman Gottschalk and Mrs. Mary Jones. The other Meetings to be held at Linn Grove and Berne will be bold on February 1,8, 15 and 22. Meetings will be held for Wabash township at Geneva at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on January 26, Feb. 2,9, 16. and 23. They will be held in the Geneva school building and Mrs. M. Jones is chairman of the committee. • She will be assisted by Mrs. C. P. Hinchman. Meetings will be held in the Jefferson township high school building at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on January 27, and February 3, 10, 17 and 24.
