The men of the church are urged to be present at the men's meeting at the church this evening at 7:00 | o'clock. The Kpwortn League will hold a business meeting at the church Tuesday evening at 6:30. , Presbyterian Church Tlie dosing service of the series held in the Presbyterian church was held last night with a largo attendance present. The attendance for the entire two weeks ban been higher than for any series of its kind for several years. ' The feature of last night’s service was the large male chorus which completely filled the balcony. This music added much to the spirit of the meeting. The pastor spoke on “The Potter and the Wheel. ’* The pastor j said, “The potter in ancient times 1 deftly formed a day vessel on the wheel as it whirled. Too much sand or foreign substances often caysed the vessel to fall to pieyes and thus, the work was marred. But patiently the potter gathered up the fragments and again placed them on the wheel.” I Rev. Covert applied this story to lives of promise which havp been marred by evil and sin. “Disillusionment and failure take the place of hope and ambition," ho said. “But j tlie Divine can and does take the | broken fragments of mis-spent life and wasted opportunity and once more brings out a life of usefulness.” Rev. Covert dosed with a masterful appeal that lives marred and stained m'glit be re-formed and cleansed by Christ. Several have signified their intention of professing Christ by uniting with the church and these will be received within a short time. The members of this church have definitely reconsecrated themselves to I spiritual things and expect to reach '•higher goals in the coming months as a result of these meetings. Baptist Church Two large crowds aided the Rev. O. E. Miller in dosing the Simultaneous meetings at the* Baptist church yesterday and all were of the opinion that tile people had been well repaid for their faithfulness during the services. Mr. Proctor, who lias been leading tlie singing, left last night for his home in Kentucky. lie stated that he had never seen such a good spirit of co-operation among the churches of a town as he noticed here. Rev! Millin' dalritred ttvcf fine sermons yesterday and the large crowds listend attentively. Several now members have been added to .the church and several conversions were obtained during the meetings. o HEARS FRENCH RADIO STATION (Continued from Rage Three) the radio week executive committee, reported N froni Cincinnati that ho had received messages from practically every state ta tho union that fans had succeeded in picking up the foreign stations.
