Presbyterian Church ■•A crowd, slightly smaller than that of Sunday night, was present al the Presbyterian church last night and heard Rev, Covert deliver a sermon ou "The Sin es Independence to Gad’s Jove." Rev. Covert said In part: "God hr.s instructed ns that we are to love the Lord. Our God. with all our heart, soul and ntind and .strength. This includes our emotions, will, intellect and our energies. Our sin is not in the fact that we do not love, but we fall to love intensely. This is not the supreme loyalty of life. “Sin is more than transgression. It is missing th- things of chief value in the business of living. It is paralysis of the will through selfishness. "We are all slaves of something or somebody. Sampson, of the Old Testament, with wonderful promise, became a slave of his own lusts. Paul starts his letters to the churches with the words, "Paul, a slave of the Lord Jesuts.” Whose slave are you?"
