The large entertaining rpom? were prettily decorated with Chfstmas wreaths and a large lighted Christmas tree. The small tables wire laid with white linens and small quaint candle holders held bright rad tapers. January < And 8 The annual play of the seventh and eighth grades of the Central school, of this city, will be presented January 7 and S, at the high school auditorium, it was announced today. The play, "'His Uncle’s Niece,’’ is said to be one of the best plays of the year. | It was presented recently at Fort Wayne under the sponsorship of a Fort Wayne church and received considerable attention and patronage in that city

Philander Filtnore, humble but wise, will be acted by Chalmer Fisher. Edward Musser will take the part of Timothy Haye, gardner al Happy Val| ley Junction and Randolph Brandyberry will taka the part of Silas Sycamore, constable at Happy Valley. The music before and during the pro-
duction will be furnished by Signor , J. U. Cafaro, director of the Decatur Boy's band, and bis two talented ' daughters, the Misses Theresa and Cornella Cafaro, and several local music- ' tans. Ihree flue specialties have been arranged to be given during the play. A prologue written in song form entitled. "We're Ready to Begin, So You'd Bet ter Listen in," wj|i be sung by pupils of the seventh and eighth grades. "Grandmother's Dream," a song and dance will be presented.
The final specialty will be very timely for a January play. It is entitled, Oh, Such Horrid Colds. Miss Cotee lias served as pluy-acting coach at the Central school for several years aud ha sheen very successful with her productions.
