Saturday Philo Class— Mrs Fred Elzey N 2nd Street, 7:30 p.m. The Bobo Methodist Sunday school w,ll give a Christmas entertainment on Christmas e ve. A Uno program has been arranged and will include a pageant. The public Is invited. The Young Matrons Clpb was entertained at the home of Mrs. Charles Drodbeck last evening.. The entertaining rooms were decorated with the Christmas colors and a large lighted Christmas tree. At six-thirty o clock, a two-course dinner was served at small tables. Green holders with red tapers were used as centerpieces and dainty nut baskets with poinsettas were -riven as favors After the dinner, Richard and Robert Brodbeck. dressed as Santa Clauses, entered the front door carrying two large baskets of gifts, which they distributed to the guests- Mrs. latwrence Lawson won the prize in the contest Mesdames Merlin Doan. Orville Baughman and James Fletcher assisted the hostess in preparing and serving the dinner). The gay Christmas spirit was very much in evidence last evening, for the annua! dinner and Christmas exchange of the Cloverleaf Creameries, Inc., office employees, held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Butler. The large spacious rooms were charmingly decorated in the prevailing season colors of green and red and a lovely Christmas tree was the keynote of decoration. At six-thirty o'clock, the guests were ushered into the dining room where they were served with an elaborate dinner. A large bouquet of fringed ‘’mums’’ was used as the centerpiece of the tablet At the conclusion of the dinner, the guests were handed clever little parchment cylinders tied with gold cord, each containing a clever little poem witli veiled meanings as to the hiding place of the gifts. After a half hour's search the guests were rewarded with lovely gifts. The guests at the enjoyable affair were Mr. and Mrs. W- A. Klepper, Norbert Holthouse. Mrs. Calvin Coppess, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Butler, Ethel Ervin, Catherine Eiting, Katherine Omlor, G rtrudt- Thieme. Marcella Lengerich and Margaret Mylott. Mrs. A. F. Stalter, of Portland, was an out-of-town guest. The office girls were assisted in the serving of the dinner by Mrs. Charles T- Omlor and Mrs. Doy Lhamou. A clever Christmas party was given at the home of Mrs. A. R Holl bouse on Sixth street by the Psi lota Xi Sorority with Mrs. Holthouse and Miss Fan Hammell as hostesses. A large I lighted Christinas tree, red and green tapers in crystal holders were used as a note of decoration. Clever stunts, .“A Grand Opera.” “A French Hat J Shop,” and “ A Real Christmas Story.” were presented by committee, of which Mrs. Frank Rowley, Miss Fan Hammell, and Mrs. Charles Knapp, were chairmen. The guests were then ushered to the dining room where after complying with Santa’s wish, were presented wit. ha lovely exchange gift. Elaboorate refreshments were served by the hostesses. Out-of-town gifests were Mrs. A F. Stalter. of Portland. a nd Miss Mary Callow, of Fort Wayne. Miss Eloise bewton. who is home from Western College, Oxford, Ohio, was also a guest.
