— BERNE SCORES ANOTHER WIN Fighting Five Defeats South Side Reserves In Good Game, 43-35 The Berne high school Fighting Five won its ninth consecutive victory of the season last night when the Fort Wayne south Side R> serves fell before Blue and White attack. 4W. The game was played on the Herne floor before a large crowd of enthusiastic I fans. The game was a thriller frojn' start to finish South Side held the lead during most of the first half and was out in front. 23-18 at half time. The Berne offensive started functioning in great style in the second half, however, and the Fighting Five forged ahead to a' substantial lead. Berne opened the scoring when Captain Baumgartner worked his way down the floor and dropped in a field goal from loose up. South Side scored on a free throw and then Hranning. who was high point j man of the game, scored on a long shot at the basket, putting South Side in the lead. 3-2. The visitors then ran their score up to 16 while the beat Berne do was six points. With the score standing 16-6 against them,' Coach Diltz’s crew opened up a fast oftense and Smith scored two field goals and Ellenbcrger one in less than
