Little has won the favor of Wiscon-' son alumni and undergrads and is al- 1 most certain to become a fixture I At Northwestern the situation'w a J different. For more than a dozen years the Methodists were kicked all over the conference. They made desperate efforts to improve the situation. chief of which was hiring a new coach every two or three years. As soon as a mentor had spent thre years al Northwestern and failed to produce a team of championship caliber, it was considered necessary to get a new one. Then some one in authority discovered the mistake. They hadn't been giving the coaches enough time to build up a system. And so they went to Oak Park, 111., high school and obtained Gleen Thistlewaite on a fiveyear contract. Thistlewaite has jus: finished his third year and the team is so improved that it's had its name
