C., Dec. 15. —(United Press) —Democrats have decided to fight the ousting 6f Senator Gerald P. Nye. republican insurgent of North Dakota, and contest the report of the senate privileges and elections committee denying him a seat in the senate. A minority report, favorable to Nye, is being drafted today by democratic members of the committee, Smith, North Carolina; Neely, West Virginia, and Stephens, Mississippi. Sunday School Class Holds Enjoyable Meeting The members of the Booster class of the United Brethren Sunday school had au enjoyable time at their class meeting at the church last evening. The class is composed of the 10 and II year old boys of the Sunday school and is taught by Evan Kek. The boys had a great time together in pulling and eating taffy and playing games. This class has been making a splendid record in Sunday school, attendance and his 100 per cent at-j tendance nearly every Sunday. They have room, they say, for a few more good fellows. For Unfortunate Kiddies Terre Haute, Ind., Dec. 15. —(United Press) At least a thousand chhildren who otherwise would not have been visited by Santa Claus this year have qn unexpected thrill in store for them Dec. 25. | Through the efforts of the Terre Haute Post, a Scrips-Howard newspaper. toys in need of repair, paint or otherwise showing service in the hands of more unfortifnate children have been gathered throughout the city and turned over to headquarters fire deportment. Firemen established a branch Santa Claus workshop and have worked diligently on the avalanche of used toys coming in since the movomeat was started by the Post. I Those who had no toys to contribute gave money in purchasing paint, missing parts and other accessories. Christinas day volunteers will load their automobiles with the joy-making i material for Terre Haute’s poor kids and make distribution to a pre-ar-ranger schedule. o * CHRISTMAS PROGRAM A Christmas program will be given at the Aber School in Root township Friday evening, December 18, at eight o'clock.
