Ford, for violation of the prohibition law, the defendant withdrew his plea of not guilty and then fried a motion to quash the indictment. Inventory Filed In the estate of Charles S. Niblick, the administrator filed an inventory and it was approved by the court. A petition to sell the personal property at private sale was filed by the administrator and approved by the court. To Compromise Claim In the estate of John J. Foe. the administrator filed a petition to compromise the claim of Fred D. ijtircber and Viola Zurcher. The General Electric Harmony Boys and Ted Rogers, Banjo King of Indiana, will furnish the music. Mr. Rogers Is said to be one of the beat banjo , players in the country. Mrs. Taylor horsewhipped her husl>and with a blacksnake whip when she caught him on a street car with another woman with whom she accused him of keeping clandestine meetings. lowa’s Biggest Corn Crop Is Worth Less Than Its Poorest Crop Dea Moines, lowa, Dec. 9.—lowa’s 1825 corn crop, the greatest yield in the history of the state, at present prices is worth $16,000,000 less thau the poorest crop produced in the state during the last 25 years, and the valtje of" the 1925 crop in lowa is $54,000,-1 000 less than those of 1924. These figures were revealed today by Chas. D. Reed, director .of the lowa weather and crop bureau ot’ the state department of agriculture in his unnual crop summary and review presented before the annual meeting of the lowa agricultural society at the state house.
